The official Nevada DMV knowledge test consists of 25 multiple-choice questions. You must answer at least 20 questions correctly to pass, which represents an 80 percent passing score. Online testing has a 60-minute time limit, while in-person tests at DMV branch offices are untimed.

Under Nevada law, you must be at least 15 and 1/2 years old to apply for an instruction permit. You must pass a vision screening and the written knowledge test, and have parental or guardian consent if under age 18.

Under official Nevada DMV testing regulations (https://dmv.nv.gov/wtestadult.htm), an applicant who does not pass the written knowledge examination may retake the test the next business day. An initial $25 testing fee covers the first test; retests cost $10 each.

Yes. Open the exam simulator and sit a timed mock test of 20 questions built from the free questions, once, with no signup. Unlocking the exam adds full-length runs of 25 questions in 60 minutes (the published time limit), as many as you like, each a new draw from the whole bank.

The exam's agency publishes no topic weights, so it mixes topics in proportion to the question bank, favouring questions you missed before and never repeating one within a run. A retake is a new draw, so you will meet different questions. It is a practice mock test, not an official replica of the real exam.
