In South Carolina, what is the legal blood/breath alcohol concentration (BAC) limit at which a driver age 21 or older is considered unlawfully driving under the influence (DUI)?
The answer
Answer: B. Under South Carolina law, a driver age 21 or older who registers a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.08 percent or greater is driving with an unlawful alcohol concentration and is guilty of driving under the influence. A first offense conviction carries a six-month license suspension, mandatory fines, and required completion of the Alcohol and Drug Safety Action Program.
