Under Oregon law, how far in advance must you signal before making a turn or changing lanes?

    The answer

Answer: A. Oregon law requires drivers to signal continuously for at least 100 feet before turning or changing lanes. Signaling alerts pedestrians, bicyclists, and other drivers of your intention so they can adjust their speed and position safely. Check your side mirrors and blind spots carefully before beginning the turn or moving into the adjacent travel lane.

When are you legally permitted to make a left turn at a steady red traffic light in Oregon?

    The answer

Answer: B. In Oregon, you may make a left turn at a steady red light only when entering a one-way street (from either a one-way or two-way street), unless a sign prohibits the turn. You must first come to a complete stop and yield to all oncoming traffic and pedestrians. Left turns on red into a two-way street are strictly prohibited under Oregon law.
